The last 8 weeks have been long, tiring, and stressful. Adam finished up his third year of residency being on call 6/8 weekends and was gone a 7th weekend at a bachelor party in Colorado. The boys definitely pick up on my stress, and Adam is exhausted. Thankfully this year will be different; he will still have a lot of call shifts, but not so many weekends gone. We’ve been keeping busy, and I’m loving my Mother’s Helper, but I’m incredibly ready for a vacation. In the past two weeks, all three boys had pink eye, then had horrible colds with high fevers, we redid our downstairs bathroom, and had our deck refinished. I also hosted a 4th of July party which was a ton of fun, but nonetheless exhausting. Thankfully, next week we will be in Fargo/the lakes for two weeks! I can’t wait for some extra help.
Biggest success in the past few months: Sam is FREE of pull-ups, including night time! So proud of him. Unfortunately, this also means he is waking up a little earlier than I’d like to use the bathroom, but it’s worth it 🙂
Unfortunately, Jack also dropped out of t-ball. Couldn’t care less! It was causing far too much stress for him. He went from loving to play t-ball at home with us and his brothers, to crying on the way to the games. We didn’t want to scar him for life, so it was a mutual decision from Jack and us to just take a year off and try again next year!
