Happy 2014! Christmas this year was so much fun. We made do with Adam being at work, and the kids loved the Santa experience.
They have been spending every waking moment playing with their new toys, reading their new books, and jumping on the trampoline. And with this cold, we have also been enjoying quite a few movies. Their current favorites: ‘Planes,’ ‘How to Train Your Dragon,’ and ‘Cars.’
Sam’s New Year Resolution: Get potty trained. Eat 50% of his calories by mouth. We are *attempting* to potty train this weekend. I will blog about that at a later date. Here’s what you need to know: Jack lives to please, and potty training him was fairly easy. Sam lives to please no one but himself, is the most stubborn kid on the face of the earth, and would rather hold his bladder for hours than sit on a toilet and just pee. Here goes nothing…!
Jack’s New Year Resolution: Become less shy and more outgoing. At home, he is the leader. He organizes games, asks to do things, yells at his brothers when they do something wrong, and sings and talks nonstop. At school or playdates, he is incredibly quiet and won’t leave my side (at school he’s actually okay–he loves his teachers).
Eli’s New Year Resolution: Talk more. Whine less. His vocabulary right now is; Hi, Mama, Dada, Light (“ight”)… he can also roar like a dinosaur and vroom like a car. But he is pretty darn advanced in the form of whining–for milk, food, and attention. However, I’m fairly certain this is ALL 15-month-olds, so I can’t complain too much!
