Our family has been blessed with some pretty incredible people over the past several years. But the two families we spent a week with have become like family to us and it was so extraordinary and fun to see our 12 kids (combined) together.
They love our kids as much as we do and never pass judgment. They get how chaotic and difficult our life can be and love us *because of it*, not in spite of it. I’m so grateful for the memories made and the calories consumed.
We couldn’t have done it without the help of our rockstar nanny. She was on “Claire duty” the entire weekend and it was so nice to be able to devote more attention to our boys. Kylee also turned out to be an excellent fisherman and the kids were awestruck.
A few days prior to our trip Marci and I finally got our The Lucky Few tattoos. We have been meaning to do this for over a year, but the timing was right on their first visit to Fargo.
The three arrows represent the three 21st chromosomes and how we rise up and move forward…Something I am continually striving to do.
Summer 2019 has been our best one yet, and while I’m definitely (definitely) ready for school to start again, a large part of me is already looking forward to our next trip to Lake Latoka with this crew.
