A huge, huge Congratulations to my husband, DOCTOR Adam F Stibbe!!!
Words can’t express how proud I am of you. Your dedication to work and school is second only to your dedication to your family. Sam, Jack, and I are so incredibly lucky to have you. Thank you for working so hard to provide a great future for us.
This has been an emotional weekend. Saying goodbye is never easy, and this was particularly difficult. So many life-changing events started in Omaha. And while we’re staying in Omaha for the next five years, almost everyone else is leaving.
These are the friends that were with us as we started our married life together.
These are the friends that were with us when we got pregnant.
These are the friends that were with us when the boys were born and Sam got sick.
Medical school is funny; you enter another four years of college lifestyle with extra hard projects. Now they’ll all enter the real world. They shared so much together.
I’m one of those people who doesn’t have a ton of friends, just a few very close friends for whom I’d do anything. It takes me a long time to get to trust and know people. It’s one thing I wish I could change about myself, because it makes meeting and saying goodbye to people especially hard.
We made some incredible friends during Adam’s time in medical school, and we are so fortunate.
To all of you: we will miss you so much, and are so thankful to call you our friends. We wish you the best of luck in your future as MD’s (and their significant others, because we did a lot of work too!).
