Support

Mr. Sam the Man is home! He came home yesterday and has been doing amazing. He’s got a few new battle wounds, and a whole new attitude. Not only is he sucking his pacifier like mad, but he’s smiling up a storm, acting ornery, and did I mention… taking (some of) his bottle!? Knock on wood… he’s been taking between 15-30cc at each feed. Compare that to the ZERO he was taking the last two weeks, and let’s just say Adam and I are more than ecstatic! 🙂

We’re so thankful to his nurses and doctors. And especially thankful to our family and friends for all of their support.

It’s funny, but since the boys have been born, we have seen such sincere support from the least likely of places. People I haven’t spoken to in years have contacted us and offered their love and kind words. People we have never met have sent us gifts, cards, food, you name it.

And what’s hard is that some people I truly thought we’d be friends with forever barely ask about the boys.

It’s strange how people deal with things, and it has made both Adam and I look at our lives and realize who we want to be as friends, and why family is so important.

Maybe a little deep for a Friday night? Maybe. Let’s blame it on the glass of Pinot Noir next to me 😉

Cute pictures 🙂 I LOVE that Sam is smiley and giggling now- he is happy to be home and feeling good! Jack looks like he could possibly be 3 ft tall, be growing a tooth and walking by Thursday. They grow too fast!
