T-4 days

At this time tomorrow, we’ll know if Adam matched. At this time on Thursday, we’ll know where we’re living for the next 5 years. Lord be with us!

Here is the info for watching ‘The Match’ on Thursday:
For those who are unable to attend the ceremony, there will be a live video stream online that you will be able to access from anywhere. The link is not active yet, but if you go to the main School of Medicine webpage

http://medschool.creighton.edu/

there is a link on the right hand side of the page under the heading “News”. The live stream is scheduled to start at 10:45, approximately 15 minutes before the letter opening ceremony begins.

My first week back at work went well. There were a lot of procedure changes while I was gone, but overall I feel pretty confident. It’s like riding a bike – I might have to start with training wheels, but I’ll get back to the worker I once was soon!

Peggy and I went shopping at Ann Taylor Loft for my birthday on Friday. We had so much fun! Peggy bought herself a few things too. Here is what I took home:

And on Saturday night, Adam and I went on a date! We went to Firebirds restaurant – great food, not the best service. What we had: Appetizer: Ranch Rings, Salad: Grilled Shrimp and Strawberry Salad, Entree: Bleu Cheese Filet, Dessert: Warm Chocolate Brownie with Dark Chocolate and Salted Caramel Sauces. Delish!

Hey Trish- Can’t wait to hear where you’ll be for the next five years! Looking forward to meeting your lil’ guys and of course seeing you and Adam at the end of this month.
In regards to your “venting”- I’m sure people are at a loss for words at times and feel that maybe thats what one should say. Believe me- any parent knows somewhat what you and Adam are going through. I think back to Josie’s birth- it was very traumatizing. Then to come home to Dawson at only 13 months old without a husband in town due to work.VERY TRYING TIMES, but you get through it because you have to. Thank GOD for family and prayers! I have a few friends who are dealing with miscarriages and fertility issues and would LOVE to have a baby or twins for that matter. I guess the saying- “No one truly knows what journey other people are on” fits well.

That paragraph was directed towards a select “few”, haha 😉
I know there is stress with every pregnancy/birth/bringing home baby.
We are excited to see you and have you all meet the boys!

I just re-read my post and I think I was a little tired/cranky! I didn’t intend to sound so mean! Oops!

Good Luck to you on Thursday, I hope it is where you want to be and as close to family as you can be! Too bad it can’t be real close. Love the pictures of the boys and your stories. I will have to send Peggy an e-mail and congratulate her on being such a Grandma sitter! Prayers are with you for a Happy Thursday.
