8 Years

Adam and I celebrated 8 years of marriage last week (July 14). It feels like a lifetime ago that two 22-year-olds committed to each other and headed off to a new adventure in Omaha, NE.

In those 8 years, we’ve become new people. Going through hard things will do that. But I wouldn’t change our story. It’s made us better people.

For every hard thing we’ve gone through, our love for each other has never wavered. He’s my backbone. We are each other’s lobsters 😊 (<– ‘Friends’ reference if you’re confused)

About two weeks after Claire was born, Adam and I were at Village Pointe shopping. After seeing what seemed like the 15th baby girl, I sighed. Adam heard me and said, “Trish. This sucks. I know that. But let’s make a pact. From now on, let’s forget about the life we planned. And let’s plan how to make the most of this new life.”

Of course it’s not easy. But having my soul mate along for the ride makes it easier.

I love you Adam Stibbe. Thank you for being the most incredible husband and father.
