This week has been unexpectedly emotional for me. If you know me, I’m more of the “no emotion on the outside, some emotion on the inside” kind of a girl. But I’m not ashamed to admit, I have cried every day this week since Monday.
Anything and everything reminded me of last year, and then I was instantly cuddling the boys. They are not used to this! My mantra is: “I’m a cuddler, not a coddler.” This week? I’ve been both!
I am so, so thrilled to be celebrating the boys turning ONE. These past 12 months have been a huge whirlwind, and a roller-coaster of emotions.
But in the end… all that matters is that they are here. We have them. They are healthy, beautiful, adorable, charming, smart, and incredibly stubborn boys.
Twins. Brothers. Sons.
They are my life.

Happy 1 year and 1 day old birthday Sam Michael and Jack William!! I’m still sad I couldn’t be there to celebrate 😦 But I couldn’t be any happier that a year has passed and you are here with us and happy normal baby boys. Someday you’ll know how much you changed everyone’s lives but until then keep being the little stinkers that you are!

What a wonderful video to capture their first year! Beautiful babes! Sam and Jack are incredibly lucky to have come so far with the help of wonderful doctors/nurses and most importantly you and Adam. Hope they had a wonderful birthday!!
