Picture time!

Why am I up at midnight on a Friday night and on the computer? Sweet baby Sam has been sick and miserable with a cold the last 3 nights. It’s horrible. No fever thank goodness, but the poor kid is sleeping in his carseat tonight to try and maximize the drainage.

Feeding school is still going well! Solids–he gets an A++. He swallows them well, and opens for bites most of the time. Since he wasn’t moving too fast on just the regular spoon and baby food, they have tried a new technique that seems to work– by using a Nuk brush, they prop open his lips/mouth and place the food in the middle of his tongue. This way he can’t “pack” the food between his lip and gum, and just swallows. It’s been incredible to watch, and he gets so proud of himself. Also, at the twins’ 9-month checkup, Sam weighed in at a whopping 14 pounds, 11 ounces. Hey, he’s still on the growth chart! 😉

Can’t forget about Jack!! I am proud to say my little man is now 16 pounds, 14 ounces!!! He is doing so well. My favorite part about Jack is that he is the silliest little boy at home and around family/close friends… jabbering all the time, giggling nonstop, making everything within arms reach his new toy (current fave: paper towels)… And while in public, he acts like the most innocent little thing. “Who, me? No, I’m the really quiet, shy one.” What a stinker.

Here are some more family photos! Even though it was 100+ degrees outside, I still think they turned out pretty good! (My bright idea to all wear jeans wasn’t such a bright idea after all…jeans are hot. However, I didn’t think family pictures in swimsuits would be a great idea either.)

Such sweet family pictures. I’ve loved every moment of watching the boys grow and seeing their personalities develop. They’re just great.

Adam and Trish, it’s been beautiful to watch the way you go to the ends of the earth for your precious boys. You’re an amazing family and you’re so lucky to have each other.
