Photo story!

Sam– doing well. Two nights ago he gave us a big scare and had a puking episode… They did an x-ray the next morning and he had the one bowel loop that still looked very suspicious and worrisome so the surgeons decided not to remove the drain any more. An x-ray was taken again this morning and it looked fantastic! So GREAT news there!

Jack–he ruined his perfect record and had to go on a little bit of oxygen. The doctors and nurses make a big point of telling us this is not a big deal, and it’s amazing he hasn’t needed it until now! It’s literally the smallest amount they can give to a preemie. They’ll try to wean him off gradually and he should be fine without oxygen in a few days.

My dad was here the past two days while Adam was in Kansas City for his first residency interview (went VERY WELL!!!). While he was here, Sam’s nurse Kaylie asked Grandpa if he wanted to hold Sam. The look of shock on his face is still engrained in my head! 🙂  Sam and Grandpa sat in their chair for a good 2.5 hours. Not a single alarm the entire time!

I have to give a big shout out to my co-workers. Yesterday my friend Melissa dropped off a freezer-full of casseroles, soups, etc and 2 big shopping bags filled with fruit, peanut butter, and other snacks. I have the best co-workers in the entire world! Thank you guys! 🙂

Here are a few of our favorite pictures taken over the past few weeks…
